The Grand Del Mar, is only 6 years old and one of San Diego’s premier resorts! Great for families looking for a quick getaway as well as couples wanting a romantic escape close to home. With the holidays right around the corner, The Grand Del Mar is ready and waiting for you and your spouse or your entire family!
What I like most about The Grand Del Mar Resort is that the staff makes you feel so relaxed and comfortable. Everyone from the staff in the kids club to their salon to The Grand Del Mar Spa are warm and welcoming. I visited the spa for a Renaissance Massage and have never experienced anything like it before. The massage starts on a warm bed, where when you are comfortable, they lowered my body into a non-gravity floatation! I felt like I was a baby back in my mom’s tummy. Just floating in warm water! They then spread mud on my skin and I was invited into a shower with 9 jets aiming at me, plus a rain shower as well! Truly an experience I won’t soon forget!
The Grand Del Mar spa is so beautiful and soothing, if you don’t arrive early to enjoy ‘doing absolutely nothing’ in the relaxation room you’ll be disappointed! Like most spas, you are always welcome to enjoy a day-pass, yet if you do pick a treatment, pick one that is signature to The Grand Del Mar like the one I can’t stop thinking about: The Renaissance!
The property has four heated pools, which include an adults-only spa pool as well as a children’s pool.
Dad will be happy that there is an 18 hole golf course and kids will be thrilled visiting the open daily Explorer’s Club, an interactive colorful center filled with activities and electronics. And at $15 per child/per hour, enjoying that massage and romantic dinner is a easy. On New Years Eve (book early) from what I hear, this night is a favorite among repeat visitors.
They have two Restaurants: Amaya. All day service and you can either sit inside or outdoor. And Addison – award winning fine dining (dinner only) restaurant featuring French cuisine from Chef William Bradley!
